What this site is

V Vane is an independent editorial site. We publish two kinds of pages: reviews, which compare a small number of named products against each other on measurable attributes, and buying guides, which explain how a category actually works — sizing systems, material grades, construction details — before you spend anything.

We do not run a coupon board, a discount aggregator or a deal feed. There is no "today only" section. If a page exists here, it is because there is something useful to say about the product category itself.

Who writes it

Maya Ellis — Editor. Writes about garment construction, leather goods and footwear specs. Started in retail floor management before moving to editorial research.

The site is edited by one person and supported by contract researchers who gather published specifications and owner reports. Researchers are credited on the pages they contribute to when their work is substantial.

What we do not do

• We do not claim to have physically tested products we have not tested.
• We do not publish a rating we cannot trace to a named source.
• We do not show traffic numbers, engagement figures or user counts.
• We do not accept payment for a placement or for a positive conclusion.

How the site is funded
